2019 Los Angeles Chargers Betting – Odds to Win Super Bowl LIV

The Los Angeles Chargers had their very best season in a decade and reached the playoffs for the first time in five years from going 12-4 final year. It wasn’t good enough, however. Tied with Kansas City for its best record in the AFC, the Bolts were the odd team out forced to enter the postseason as the No. 5 seed, losing on the street in the Divisional Round. 1 way to be sure that does not occur is to win the AFC West outright, some thing the Chargers have not done since 2009. Little was done this offseason and the Bolts are counting on another productive year from Philip Rivers, that might not have many left.

A reduction to Denver through the middle of this season proved to be the gap between an AFC West crown and playing as a wild card. The Bolts lost the tie-breaker using a worse division record than KC and were forced to hit the road for the playoffs although they had a better record than every other group. Pleased with how things went last year, the Chargers did hardly any this offseason and will trust the core of the band that generated 12 wins in 2018.
The ringleader is Philip Rivers, who enters his 16th year and has started every match since taking the role in 2006. At 37 4,308 had one of the finest seasons projecting for 4,308 yards and 32 touchdowns while finishing 68.3 percent of his passes. Receivers’ group is one of the top with Keenan Allen the main target. The Bolts will also be optimistic a healthy Melvin Gordon can continue to contribute. Gordon averaged a career best 5.1 yards per carry but missed four games because of injury. The Chargers scored nearly 27 points per game and should be better with their resources returning.
As good as they were offensively the Chargers actually had a stout defense under Gus Bradley, ranking ninth in total defense and eighth in scoring defense. And they did this with Joey Bosa and Denzel Perryman each missing near to half the season. With those guys back for the long haul along with former Carolina Panther Thomas Davis must make the Chargers tough to score on again in 2019. Don’t expect them to go 7-1 on the road this season, which will hinder their win total. However, the Bolts are a strong club and Rivers does not have many opportunities left at playing at a Super Bowl.
