Japan 7-41 South Africa: Springboks too strong for World Cup hosts

A hat-trick of attempts from Makazole Mapimpi headed South Africa on Friday in their final World Cup warm-up match into some victory over Japan, gaining revenge for defeat four decades back and laying a championship marker down.
The scoring opened about seven minutes with a fantastic finish, since the Springboks built a lead in Kumagaya at half-time until Mapimpi conducted in two simple tries in another flank.
Further tries from Kolbe along with Mapimpi a final flourish in Herschel Jantjies success plus both sides of the consolation of Kotaro Matsushima for South Africa and helped soothe the memory of Japans famed win at the 2015 World Cup.
Before South Africa start their campaign against reigning champions New Zealand per day 29, japan must search for improvement in their World Cup opener.
