LA Rams linebacker Clay Matthews out for up to six weeks with broken jaw

Los Angeles Rams linebacker Clay Matthews is going to be sidelined for four to six weeks after breaking his jaw, trainer Sean McVay told reporters on Friday.
Matthews will undergo surgery, based on McVay. That is not good to us, the trainer said. Thats a big harm.
Matthews sustained the injury to the Seattle Seahawks during Los Angeles 30-29 loss on Thursday.
McVay says that he believes when Seattle running back Chris Carson kicked Matthews from the face, it happened.
Matthews, 33, was off to a solid start in his first season.
He has six sacks, two forced fumbles and 19 tackles in five matches.
Matthews, who spent his first 10 NFL seasons with the Green Bay Packers, has 89.5 career sacks in 148 matches (142 begins ).
Rams receiver Brandin Cooks (concussion) was hurt and has been placed in the NFL protocol.
Thursday, cooks was hurt in the fourth quarter.
Cooks has 20 receptions for yards and one touchdown. He awakened 1,000 receiving yards with all the Rams at 2018 and with the New England Patriots – double with all the New Orleans Saints in each of the past four seasons.
