LA Rams linebacker Clay Matthews out for up to six weeks with broken jaw

Los Angeles Rams linebacker Clay Matthews will likely be sidelined for four to six weeks coach Sean McVay told reporters.
Matthews will undergo operation, according McVay. Thats not good for us, the trainer said. That is a large injury.
Matthews continued the injury during Los Angeles 30-29 loss.
McVay says he considers when Seattle running back Chris Carson kicked Matthews from the face it occurred.
Matthews, 33, was off to a strong start with the Rams in his first season.
Hes two forced fumbles six sacks and 19 tackles in five matches.
Matthews, who spent his first 10 NFL seasons with the Green Bay Packers, has 89.5 career sacks in 148 matches (142 starts).
Rams receiver Brandin Cooks (concussion) was injured and was put at the NFL protocol.
Thursday, cooks was injured in the fourth quarter.
Cooks has 20 receptions for yards and one touchdown. He awakened 1,000 receiving yards with all the Rams at 2018 and together with the New England Patriots – double with all the New Orleans Saints in each of the previous four seasons.
