LA Rams linebacker Clay Matthews out for up to six weeks with broken jaw

Los Angeles Rams linebacker Clay Matthews will likely be sidelined for four to six weeks after breaking his jaw, coach Sean McVay told reporters.
Matthews will undergo operation, according McVay. That is not great to people, the trainer said. That is a significant injury.
Matthews continued the injury on Thursday to the Seattle Seahawks during Los Angeles 30-29 loss.
McVay says he considers when Seattle running back Chris Carson unintentionally kicked Matthews in the face it occurred.
33, matthews, was off to a strong start in his first season.
He has 19 tackles in five games, two forced fumbles and six sacks.
Matthews, who spent his first 10 NFL seasons with the Green Bay Packers, has 89.5 career sacks in 148 matches (142 begins ).
Rams receiver Brandin Cooks (concussion) also was injured and has been put in the NFL protocol.
Thursday cooks was injured in the fourth quarter.
Cooks has 20 receptions for yards and one touchdown. He awakened 1,000 receiving yards in each of the four seasons – double using the New Orleans Saints, after with the Rams in 2018 and with the New England Patriots.
