Teams receive four points for a win plus two to get a draw. A bonus point will be awarded for scoring four tries for a conquer by seven points or fewer.
Runner-up also the winner in each pool qualify for its quarter-finals.
If teams are tied in full time at the knockout stages, then the winner will be determined through additional time, if there is no winner, then sudden death if the scores are tied, and eventually a kicking contest.
