Shane Lowry: Race to Dubai win would cap an incredible year

Shane Lowry insists he isnt putting himself to win the Race to Dubai.
Lowry started 2019 in Abu Dhabi using his Rolex Series success, when he stormed winning The Open with six 42, but he surpassed achievement.
The Irishmans stellar period has ensured he is firmly in contention to finish the year as European No 1 for the very first time, and hell seem to regain the lead near the top of the Hurry to Dubai standings in the Open was jeopardized by Spanish Open winner Jon Rahm last week.
Obviously Id love to maneuver Jon this week, but ultimately, it is just going to matter who is No 1 in the end of November, said Lowry. I have lots of occasions , I feel like my game is great enough and I feel as though I will give it a really good go. Im very excited about it, and it could be a great end to what has been a fantastic year for me.
When I win the Race to Dubai, it will be good. I am not going to sit about it, if I do not, but it could be a huge factor for me to achieve. So Im going to give it my best to shoot at the scores I will , ideally, win that prize.
Ultimately, it is probably going to come down to the last few occasions. I am just going to continue doing exactly what Ive been doing. Its very exciting that I am there and I am looking forward to the challenge.
Obviously I would like to keep attempting to pick up some Ryder Cup points and also keep challenging myself daily to take the very best scores I can, and just kind of keep enjoying my golf, keep doing exactly what I have been doing all year, and also to win the Hurry Dubai, which would kind of top off whats already been an amazing year.
Lowry and home favourite Francesco Molinari, the guy he replaced as Open champion will perform with the opening two rounds in Rome, after missing out on the May and the Italian is currently bidding.
Molinari still has refreshing and fond memories of claiming his maiden European Tour victory and the Milan fans thrilled again after he pipped Danny Willett by a stroke to the name.
I believe that the first win on Tour, I never knew it was coming and yet, obviously at home, I feel no one really expected me to triumph at the beginning of the week, he said. You could almost feel the expectations rising through the week, and it was just an amazing relief to the 18th green, watching all the people there observing, plenty of families and friends.
I couldnt have asked for a better first win on Tour, however, the second one was very different. Many years later, and different circumstances and tastes from the beginning. I had a solid season however I had not won in a few years.
At a house occasion, should you start well, you can truly feel the vibe shifting and people sort of expecting you to acquire and also to bring the trophy home. I just dont forget the back nine on Sunday, not playing my best golf, but only grinding again and hard, enormous relief to the 18th green.
