Five-time winner Roger Federer is out of the US Open following the Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria won a thriller that is late night to finally beat the Swiss great.
Federer, 38, had won all seven of their past meetings for a 6-4 win in New York however Dimitrov fought back.
Federer was triggered by injury in the latter phases, allowing unseeded Dimitrov to run away with victory.
Dimitrov, 28, will play Russian fifth seed Daniil Medvedev in the previous four.
